Shock wave reflection phenomena studied by numerical and experimental methods; numerical simulation of hydrodynamic flows, of shock and blast waves interacting with structures; deformation of structures impulsively loaded by blast waves from experimental and accidental explosions.

Other interests:

Alex has been interested in rockets and explosives since childhood. He decided to make a career of such things after seeing the pictures on John Dewey's office walls.
