Aerial photograph of the gasbag explosion. The camera used
for the previous two pictures was to the south of the explosion, off the bottom of the
picture above. To the north, at the top of the picture, the canvas sails are seen running
to the right from a point in the centre of the picture. Eight short smoke trails rise up
from that point, running to the left. The main array of smoke trails rises up from a line
through and to the left of the explosion centre, and is partially lost in the flash of
light from the explosion. The web of lines seen over the entire picture is for the
most part formed by roadways on the prairie soil.
