gasbag4.jpg (254371 bytes)
Aerial photograph of the gasbag explosion. The camera used for the previous two pictures was to the south of the explosion, off the bottom of the picture above. To the north, at the top of the picture, the canvas sails are seen running to the right from a point in the centre of the picture. Eight short smoke trails rise up from that point, running to the left. The main array of smoke trails rises up from a line through and to the left of the explosion centre, and is partially lost in the flash of light from the explosion. The web of lines seen over the entire picture is for the most part formed by roadways on the prairie soil.
